Paul Butterfield has put his own stamp to Blues history which begins back in 60s.Here is a clip with The Band from The Last Waltz and performs Mystery Train.Enjoy !!! PS:for the history the song was written by Junior Parker and Sam Phillips.Junior had a band at 1953 called Little Junior’s Blue Flames and Sam was the record producer.The song has this dynamic to feel the train both from harmonica and lyrics.Parker sung and here Paul too: “Train arrive, sixteen coaches long. Train arrive sixteen coaches long. Well, that long black train carries my baby home.” A wonderful song like a trip.Presented under fair use for educational purposes,materials all rights reserved by the original owners. @noyna9 you’re ABOSLUTELY righ.The most EVIL harp i ever heard.The whole sound blow your brains out.
@noyna9 Levon is still alive….
I wish they filmed the whole song.

Greatest musical movie ever in my opinion! Went 32 times to the pictures to see it though I already had it on CD and DVD
This is my favorite and the one with Ronnie Hawkins is just awesome
loved the way this was filmed!
This is the definitive version of this song. And The Band and Mr. Butterfield performing together were magic. I remember seeing “The Last Waltz” while in high school, and I discovered the wonderful spectrum of music that The Band shared. I love this tune!!!
R.I.P The boys who are now dead in this clip.They were older than me then but I am older than them now and on we march together.
The most evil harp ever ever played by anyone.Levon Helm and Paul Buterfield and the rest of my favourite group of all time together.Utopia.
i’ve had this on a DVD

love this song. so kewl they take an old boreing elvis song and jaz it up like this!!!!!!!!!!
Kick ass production on one of the best tunes The Band ever recorded, a highlight from the sometimes overlooked classic”Moondog Matinee”, when the rest of The Band allowed J.R. Robertson to take a break from his songwriting duties! Plus Paul Butterfield looked and sounded great, and Levon Helm drumming and humming with attitude and style, just plain outByGodstanding! Thanks and praise be to: You Tube 4 the space, tsatwiz 4 the upload, and To Robbie & THE BAND! Incredibly damofino fine, now R O S!
a big ThanX for all that watch my videos….
