Kingston Mines – on Halsted, between Fullerton and Diversey.

B.L.U.E.S. on Halsted, across the street from Kingston Mines, is a MUCH BETTER choice.

I also recommend Rosa’s on the West Side, and Lee’s Unleaded Blues on the South Side.

Both are worth the drive!!! (Please google for addresses.)

The Jazz Record Mart is the best place for buying blues records. They even have 78’s, if you know what they are. It’s also home to world-famous Delmark Records, for whom I used to work.

Either the Kinston Mines or Buddy Guy Legends.

Buddy Guy’s Legends!!! Go soon because they are going to be moving (I don’t know if it’s been determined exactly where yet) I try and go every time I’m in Chicago and always have a great time! Don’t let the size of the place deter you (it’s small) but be sure and get there early to get a place to sit! Their food is pretty good as well.

p.s. You may just be lucky enough to catch “The Man” himself sitting at the end of the bar on a Saturday nite… and he might just get up on stage and play w/the band!
