Type in “12 bar blues tab” in yahoo search. This is an essential lick you need to learn to play the blues.

  2. 02B30C1 says:

    no site needed

    its
    1-1-1-1-4-4-1-1-5-4-1

otb30 has it, but is missing the last measure

the numbers are the numerical representation of the chords in a given key, for example… in the key of “A” your 1 chord would be “A”, your 4 chord would be “D” and your 5 chord would be “E”.
the 12 bar blues progression is generally
    1-1-1-1-4-4-1-1-5-4-1-5
or in the key of “a”
    A-A-A-A-D-D-A-A-E-D-A-E
you can do it in all 12 keys.
that’s the chord structure, if you want to solo over it you need to learn your pentatonic minor scale, which is 1, m3, 4, 5, m7
or in the key of “A”
    A-C-D-E-G-A-C-E-G-A
you can have someone show it to you if that doesn’t make sense.
