I am in a college music class and need to write a two page paper about this. Our teacher is very particular and I don’t have enough to build on. Any help is appreciated
Blues comes from easing the pain and suffering of life.
It was originated in the United States and helped create
another American original–Rock and Roll.
Everyone in the world feels down every now and again and the Blues is now universal. The Blues appeal to everyone.
Where it came from (the history) is important in understanding human nature.
becase without it we wouldnt be able to paint so many pretty picturs. how would a painter paint a ocean or paint a sky?
The history of the Blues is important because it is as much the story of a musical art form as it is about the American people, history and progress.
It’s impossible to study the Blues without including the struggles of the people who created it.
Well you could write a 5423 page essay about it if you wanted too. The African slaves brought rhythms here and they totally created Pop and Rock music. Without the Blues, there would be no Beatles, Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Wolfmother, Deep Purple, Britney Spears, Flo Rida, Jack Johnson, or any other musician. Eric Clapton and Jimmy Page actually even stole songs from Blues musicians.
The blues had a baby.
And they named it Rock and Roll.
The blues is important as it describes the suffering of african american people. Each song tells different story, and each story has meaning. the blues reminds us of the suffering african americans went through.
Listen to it. If you don’t understand, listen closer.
