The girl of fire and thorns
The Girl of Fire and Thorns is her debut novel. Well done, Ms. And he looks at her in a way that no man has ever looked at her before. Elisa finds Humberto using her Godstone, and he nurses her back to health.I love all of them. View all comments! I also loved that the main character - although still a "chosen one" trope character - was not a Dude. I would recommend The Girl of Fire and Thorns to those who like action-driven books and can overlook deficiencies in character development.
Trivia About The Girl of Fire Did it pay off. His words suffocate me as surely as his embrace. She's a survivor, though.
The Princess of Orovalle, Lucero-Elisa de Riqueza, was born as the chosen one, selected by God to fulfill a prophecy shown by a blue gem in her navel called the Godstone. Lucero-Elisa lacks confidence in herself, and often eats out of unhappiness; she is described as "fat" in the novel. While traveling to Joya d'Arena, Elisa's caravan is attacked. Elisa, who has studied military history, provides sound military advice about the conflict, rescues herself and her companions, and saves the king's life, but her companion Aneaxi dies of injuries sustained in the attack, leaving her with one ally, her nurse and bodyguard, Ximena. When they arrive at Alejandro's palace, the King announces Elisa as princess and special guest, but conceals his marriage, and her Godstone. For some weeks, Elisa lives at the Palace as a "guest", making connections with the local priest, Alejandro's friend, and Alejandro's son, Prince Rosario. While at court, Elisa is asked to advise the king's Council about war, as well as to keep watch on his court.

I enjoyed reading this book but not in the way I expected. Hector must break into the ancient Fortress of Wind to retrieve something so important that the kingdom's future depends on it. And boy did this book start triggering me like none other.
Everything felt very layered and real when it came to the characters and their motivations. Invented by the war torn to make sense of the horrific. And it will prepare him to become the fearsome warrior and lord commander Elisa will never let go. No matter what.
