Great recipe. It's also nice to get away from having meat everyday and try something different. I wonder…can these be made with cooked lentils as well. So glad these are freezer-ready too.These sound so good. This has become a staple in our house. After pureeing the bell pepper and onion, strain the mixture really well. Lemme tell ya folks, adding that fresh cilantro into the mix took this already awesome recipe over the top. I bet they taste delicious. Let me know how they turned out! Cook patties for 5 to 7 minutes on each spidy or until a crust develops and the patties are heated through.
Hot topic in life lately? Wow thanks for all the egg replacement advice. My girls will choose them over a meat burger any day! The rice and bean mixture will be thick, slightly sticky and very malleable.

Make a salad of rice tossed with diced jicama, red bell pepper, avocado and a vinaigrette dressing, and pass bowls of sour cream and shredded lettuce to accompany these Southwest-style meatless bean burgers. A lemon tart is a perfect finale. I added fresh chopped cilantro, lime zest and a little fresh lime juice for brightness. These are very easy to make, and don't use an egg binder, so are vegan if that is important to you. Good recipe. Very moist mush burgers are quick to make and taste great, but require parchment, a slice of cheese and a sheet pan to hold together.
